Some thing actually weird about mastodon/(fedi?) is that there are lots of posts with lots of boosts but only 1 or 2 stars. Maybe something about federation that I don't know?
@victorio I seem to understand you see only the number of stars from your local instance, but all the boosts (local + federated).
@victorio Do stars even do anything? Maybe people just don’t bother.
@mara i don't really understand how it works but if they don't mean anything, why not giving them? Like if i like a post but don't want to share it, I feel the need to press the star, i understand that this don't happen to everyone but really? 2 likes 150 reblogs?
@victorio I think that stars are more "honorary" here (as they don't increase visibility in any way), so people tend to emphasis boosting/reposting things.
