Weird question, I'm wondering.
Is there a correlation between decorating your house and customising your computer's GUI (Desktop)?
The answer is no, I'm surprised
@tripplehelix Define "decorate". But I'm known to modify anything I own given time. "Plain" is boring.

@tripplehelix decades ago, there was this really simple screensaver designer thing. It gave you a grid of circles to colour in and set timers between frames, effectively giving you an LED light display thing as a screensaver. It was a tidy idea.
Anyway, I remember using that and thinking it'd be really easy to produce wallpaper that's just strings of LEDs and then use this same style of software to rig up your own animated rooms. Whole houses of configurable LED walls.
Hasn't happened yet. 
@tripplehelix By "living in a non-customized house" do you mean squatting in an IKEA?
@sunarch Yep that's pretty much it, bare essentials, nothing personal.
@tripplehelix That's a different thing though. That could be an intentional choice. What you leave out can say as much as what you include.

I used to customise my desktop in the old days with clever tiled backgrounds (mazes, etc.), but I got out of the habit when I upgraded to XP...
