Finding it difficult in Vancouver trying to host community meetups post-pandemic. Local companies don't seem to have meeting space for us anymore, or reluctant to host us.

PyLadies Vancouver doesnt have bank account. We couldn't just say "let's take 300$ to book a room in library so we could have a meetup". But instead, I have to write tons of back and forth emails asking for a company willing to host.

I'd really prefer spending my energy to build community instead of begging for a venue
