Total lunar eclipse! It's a blood Moon, alright. A bit fuzzy with clouds passing by. :/

The red color is cause by refracted sun light from the Earth's atmosphere. It's like the Earth is casting a combination sunrise / sunset onto the Moon's surface.

Totality lasts until 13:31am PDT (08:31 UTC). 4/4

Get outside and look! Maximum eclipse is at 11:58pm PDT.

I take my cats out every morning during coffee, but this week I am working 3rd shift so taking them out at night. Looked up at moon (11pm) and thought it looked weird , like it was obstructed. Came inside. Just saw your post, ran back outside and saw the full eclipse!! THANK YOU!!
