Here's tonight's ~80 percent waxing gibbous Moon. It's 378,481km (235,177mi) distant from the Earth. After quite a few days of snow and rain we had a super clear night tonight, so I took advantage of it. And I would have forgotten to do so if not for @catherineryanhyde, posting her shot of the Moon a little earlier, thanks!

A square color photo, that pretty much looks black and white, of the waxing gibbous Moon. It's round in the upper right corner and cutoff looking in the lower left. Numerous craters and large dark spaces are sharply visible.
