@carlton I appreciate your take on this. The social concerns of the suggestion to put things into a third party package is what has bothered me for a while.
I think we're starting to identify the edges of that challenge and getting it closer to a solvable shape.
It was interesting to read that, then @ehmatthes's article on how to stay up to date with Django.
[my take] In short, there's room for improvement to connect the Django code to the Django ecosystem and community.

Let’s lean into to what we already do well. (And that thought that you can solve social problems with technical solutions keeps coming back to me unbidden.)
