My little PC (#beelink ser6max) is randomly crashing with [gfxhub] page fault (src_id:0 ring:24 vmid:1 pasid:32770) in process Xorg pid 1860 thread Xorg:cs0 pid 2273 in page starting at address 0x0000800105825000 from client 0x1b (UTCL2) GCVM_L2_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS:0x00101030 Faulty UTCL2 client ID: TCP (0x8) .... PERMISSION_FAULTS: 0x3
If only the error message was a little more human friendly so i could figure out if this was a hardware or software problem ... or something else.
@TheGingerDog swap RAM modules? Run memtest from USB?
@falken I ran memtesr86+ on it when I added more ram to it ages ago ... But I probably stopped it after 15-20 mins when no errors were reported ... I suppose it would make sense to run it (to completion) again. Thanks for the hint !
@TheGingerDog also tempting to run with case off, see if overheat? After that, if passes, likely software/driver. Try Wayland vs X11 ?
@falken well, memory test was happy .... I've given it a good clean with an air duster ..... I guess I just need to wait and see if it behaves better.
