Something I haven't shared much of yet on here is my love for #silentfilm, particularly that I collect and exhibit silent films on 8mm and Super 8mm film!
I usually show my movies at my local library, and hire a pianist to play along with the film. It's a lot of fun. I've shown THE CAT AND THE CANARY, THE MICHIGAN KID, and THE CABINET OF DR CALIGARI in the past, and I'm thinking about showing one of my Harold Lloyd features for the next one...

@Nathaniellockhart wow I love this. I have been busy in recent days converting old 8mm and super 8 family films into digital with a brand new Kodak Reels. A lot of fun!
@botolo86 what have you been using to digitize your media?
@Nathaniellockhart I am scanning the films using a Kodak Reels and then iMovie to crop the movie, add some color correction, change frame rate, etc.
@botolo86 had to look it up - I've never heard of Kodak Reels before! It's nice there's an alternative to the Wolverine that some have had frustrations with. How's the Kodak product been working for you?
@Nathaniellockhart I am sure it can’t be considered a professional tool but it does a fairly good job converting family films that I can share with my family!
@Nathaniellockhart fantastic! I’m sure you’re making new #silentfilm fans with every screening.
@tosilentfilm thats the hope!
@Nathaniellockhart Hiring the piano player is genius. Love it!
