@GuitarSith@fosstodon.orgMy website manager and I were finally able to figure out how to get my account here verified using a Wix website template where it’s amazingly difficult to figure out how to get at the actual HTML. Using an anchor as suggested here didn’t work. We were finally able to get it using a meta tag for search engine optimization. I’m really glad she had the patience to keep trying, I would have given up. So now I have a verified link here and my YouTube channel is verified too. Woohoo! 
@GuitarSith I have struggled with this with my squarespace page too. Maybe I should take another crack at it sometime.

I actually had to delete the link to the website here and then recreate it. It was the meta tag as opposed to the anchor that made the difference in Wix. Glad you got yours sorted too. Here’s to verification. 
@GuitarSith I read somewhere this morning that editing anything in your profile is what prompts the system to recheck for verification. So maybe it wasn’t deleting the link specifically, but changing the profile more generally.
I changed my link’s header from “website” to “business”
