UnifiedPush

This week, next gen @element client, Element-X, and @neochat announced they are supporting . This makes 2 more @matrix clients supporting it !

NeoChat the second Linux app officially supporting UnifiedPush, after @tokodon

For the record, , another Matrix client, was the first application supporting UnifiedPush, 3 years ago. Thanks again for the impetus you gave to the project :)

@krille

@unifiedpush @krille For the record Schildichat was the next one with Element being silent long time. How fantastic it is EAX now does it on its own including f-droid release :) I think we came a long way to brighter future 🍺

@unifiedpush

@delta is this also addressing / solving your issue on iOS?

@matrix any informatuon when #elementX support @unifiedpush ?

Sadly i do not get any push-notification at the moment. (so i use the legacy @element and there forks #SchildiChat for multi-account)

@genofire @matrix @element version 0.4.2 will be published on F-Droid with UP support

@unifiedpush @element @neochat @matrix @tokodon actually what is the point for a desktop application to support unified push? This is a real question, I'm genuinely curious.

I thought having a push notifications system was too spare bandwidth and/or battery life, but on desktop I don't think it's relevant.

@unifiedpush @neochat Neochat works on Linux phones like the pinephone, and also battery savings on laptops would be cool.

@unifiedpush @element @neochat @matrix @tokodon

Hell, yes. This is nothing but good news. :mastodance:

I've been using Unified Push + Element + Fedilab via Nextcloud and NextPush and it's been remarkably simple and reliable while keeping all that sweet, sweet metadata out of the Goog's hungry clutches. Thank you!

Can't wait for Yunohost to support sliding sync so I can shift to ElementX.
