I also have a dual 25 Gbit/s NIC and Intel Optane NVMe ready to install. I suspect this #zfs pool is going to be pretty fast
The computer page for the new #server is published https://blog.cavelab.dev/computers/beta/
Powered up the new server yesterday, and migrated all VMs and containers over. It's not running as my main hypervisor Next is to repurpose the old server as a dedicated backup server, running PBS.
Took a few thermal images of the new server before closing the lid.
Now that everything has been moved away from my old Hypervisor — it can be repurposed as a dedicated #ProxmoxBackupServer
@thomasjsn I too am sadly forced to bodge 40mm fans onto things because I don't have a 3D printer.
@woe2you Yeah, I saw some really nice 3d printer mounts when looking for ways to attach the fan...
@thomasjsn have you considered a CRS504-4XQ-IN? each 100 Gb port can be broken out into 4x25 Gb, and the day you want that 100 Gb you already have the necessary equipment ;)
@monotux I have, but I have my eyes on the MikroTik CRS510-8XS-2XQ-IN. Two 100 Gbit, and 8 25 gbit.
