What's the best #mastodon client for Android. The one I use isnt great. I miss ivory.
@thelinuxcast
Not what you asked, so sorry, but have you tried the Web UI instead of an app? Seems to work really well.
@bytebro I want to be able to use the share sheet. Can't do that with the web app afaik
@thelinuxcast I don't even know what that is! Boo to me
@thelinuxcast back on pixel?
@ryankage no. I have a s25 ultra. Broke my iPhone.
@thelinuxcast@fosstodon.org @ryankage@mastodon.social cant tell if thats good or bad news
@thelinuxcast I just love Tusky. I'm used to it
@thelinuxcast I use @openvibe and it's great
@thelinuxcast I've used @openvibe in the past. Great client. @moshidon also works very well - been using it for nearly 1.5 years now.
@thelinuxcast tusky is great
@thelinuxcast #fdroid has many clients, sometimes I think of trying couple of them but got used to web-ui...

@thelinuxcast
Can't say if it's the best but the Tusky app is:
- not heavy for my older mobile
(25MB app plus 9MB of user data)
- compatible all the way back to Android 7.0 (I'm still on 8.1)
- exactly 8 years old today yet still receiving updates (Jan 2025)
- supporting multiple accounts (if needed)
@thelinuxcast
I use tusky on android and tut-tui/floorp for pc.
@thelinuxcast Tusky or Fedilab, I keep flipping between them
@thelinuxcast @apps perhaps, if you want an app. But i'm in love with @phanpy PWA (easy to selfhost, indeed).
@thelinuxcast @Tusky is great. tons of options and can add as many hashtags as you like and extra tabs..
@thelinuxcast Moshidon simple but feature rich. Fedilab feels overenginered.
@thelinuxcast I am using «Megalodon for Mastodon» with any problems, looks great at least for me...
@thelinuxcast
I haven't tried other than Fedilab, this is good. But on PostmarketOS Tokodon is perfect for Mastodon.
@thelinuxcast
Fedilab for me ...
@thelinuxcast trunks. That's the closest you'll find to Ivory.
@thelinuxcast I like Moshidon
@thelinuxcast
I'm using fedilab right now, but one that I find pretty solid is moshidon. It looks nice and it's free on the play store
@thelinuxcast
Definitely Fedilab, it's the most configurable one out there
@thelinuxcast It's Pachli for me. Translation option is a winner.
@thelinuxcast Have you considered Elk?
@dirk I ended up on Pachi. It's really good
