For now pegging to AL2 is possible but so much changes in AL2023 that a lot of the existing internet knowledge on the subject doesn&#39;t work (yum is removed, dnf is actually microdnf and can&#39;t install local packages so wget-ing an R install doesn&#39;t let you install it, rpm -i doesn&#39;t solve deps on the RPM, etc). Would love to know if anyone has solved this!</p>

When I launch my instance from a snapshot, a script automatically creates a companion 500GB temporary volume, complete with bash scripts for quick pulling of my saved captures from S3 to the instance. When done, I push back to S3; killing the instance destroys the temp volume. Will keep cost optimizing it, but this will be much cheaper than buying a processing laptop!</p>

This guide error looks really really promising -- this is with the medium size <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/svbony" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>svbony</span></a> <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/sv503" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sv503</span></a> 80ED rather than the wider field 70mm I was testing. <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/astrophotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>astrophotography</span></a> <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/astrodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>astrodon</span></a></p>

I have a lot to learn and obviously way more lights to capture to reduce noise but this was the first real success with deep space in light polluted skies and I’m so glad I listened to advice about getting a lighter, shorter FL scope. I still have the slightly longer 560 FL f7 to test out but I am loving shooting at 420/336mm reduced so far. <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/astrodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>astrodon</span></a> <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/astrophotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>astrophotography</span></a></p>
Micah Lee<p>Oh hell yeah. <span class="h-card"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@mozilla" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>mozilla</span></a></span> is launching a Mastodon instance in early 2023! I’m very excited for this. Mozilla is really good at what they do. Firefox has over 200M monthly active users, and with any luck they’ll build better support for the fediverse into Firefox itself. Mastodon will greatly benefit from easy to use professionally run instances that can handle massive scaling <a href="https://blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/mozilla-launch-fediverse-instance-social-media-alternative/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/mo</span><span class="invisible">zilla-launch-fediverse-instance-social-media-alternative/</span></a></p>
