Tiny Tapeout 08 closed yesterday!
I'm happy to share that I submitted two designs .
The first design is an entry for the demoscene competition (https://tinytapeout.com/competitions/demoscene/). I don't want to spoiler anything, so we'll see the results when the chips come back in about 8 months time.
The other design is my first design with analog components, AICD Playground (https://github.com/mole99/tt08-aicd-playground)
See below for more info
The design contains both a digital part with a simple CPU and an analog part with levelshifters, an R2R-DAC and a comparator. If everything works out, I will be able to implement a simple SAR-ADC to convert analog signals (0V-3.3V) into a digital value (8-bit).
Here you can see the layout. It even contains some chip art, the logo of my university: Graz University of Technology
You can also view the layout in 3D in your browser: https://gds-viewer.tinytapeout.com/?model=https://mole99.github.io/tt08-aicd-playground/tinytapeout.gds.gltf
As always, get ready for the next shuttle, Tiny Tapeout 09! https://tinytapeout.com/
