I wish your son fun with his music instrument. My parents made me take piano lessons when I was young, I sometimes resented it but even though I've forgotten how to play piano, I'm grateful for it now. It gave me a useful base to learn other instruments later on (saxophone in high school, then acoustic guitar in adulthood).

I took piano lessons as a kid too. Still play occasionally. Badly, since I do it so rarely I'm perpetually out of practice. I'm hoping he enjoys it. So far he's been having fun blasting as loud as possible while playing with the slide. Truly headache inducing.
