After a good week-end with #pixel3a, I've decided to keep it in my pocket for the week although the mic does not work yet in #sxmo ...
I carry an headset with me (microphone from the headset works but not the headphone ;))
I can also use gnome-calls to phone ...
Apart from that, the phone has proven very good, with a decent battery life (I ended yesterday with 50% without enabling suspend
Big up for everybody involved in bringing up this phone to #postmarketos and #mobian
@fdlamotte I am doing something similar (but I am boring and use #phosh) and it is really going well. Battery life is really good :-)
Well done everybody!
you know, I got seriously into sxmo after reading your initial review of the wayland port ;) before that I was only doing some tests thanks to the multi-distro sdcard
@fdlamotte That's great to hear, and I really like Sxmo whenever I try it! But it also reliably leads to me spend countless time on yak-shaving finding the best option for this and that - the classic tiling wm journey, if you will.
I really believe I should not have to add apps to the menu (.desktop files exist) or set up a secrets manager (as there are multiple options, some quick ncurses style 'choose and setup' thing would be great). It's not that much fun on a virtual keyboard
I totaly understand you ;) and that is a very interesting topic ...
I can't use a phone with the default sxmo configuration for more than five minutes ... (and I might even prefer phosh to the default config (once a proper screen scale has been chosen) ...)
But I feel very productive with my current config, and I can improve it continously.
