CRAN submission correspondence should be publicly available:
ie. acceptance , rejection, autochecks, etc. #rstats
@josi I'm not sure. Junior developers might not feel comfortable with their emails being public, particularly in the current non-welcoming environment. Maybe they should be private by default but accesible in case of code of conduct violations by maintainers or CRAN people.
@eliocamp I hope you don't mind - I linked to you in
https://github.com/r-devel/rcwg/issues/34#issuecomment-2269385092
regarding a draft code of conduct for the R project.
@josi Default to open. Let the community learn and have an opportunity to help one another.
@josi do it all via public stuff on github
@josi as far as I'm concerned, every developer earning money from public sources (state pension/salary/funding) should have all their professional written communication made public.
