I’m mostly interested in an individual contributor role, because that’s where my experience is. But, I also love teaching new engineers and talking about tools I love. I crave dynamic work, where new problems and challenges keep streaming in, forcing me to keep learning.
Nearly all of my time has been as a permanent employee, but I’m finding myself open to things in shorter time frames. Maybe one of the well known Python/Django dev shops?

Why you shouldn’t hire me
• I have ADHD … I love deep-diving. Sometimes, I default to a depth-first approach when trying to understand things.
• I have ADHD … I don’t close two tickets every day, or even every week, like clockwork. Sometimes my work looks like a rollercoaster, but it does mean consistent results over the long term.
• I have ADHD … I’ve often obsessed about the answer to a question or a solution to a problem.
• You’re working on AI or crypto

Why you should hire me!
• Experience, I’ve got a fair amount of it! Lots of it is good and useful for solving your problems! I also have bad experience, which is even more useful for solving your problems!
• I love best practices, identifying and embracing them gives us more free time to do interesting things.
• I love learning from other people (insert “and I’ve got a wonderful personality” gif) and believe that there’s something to learn from everyone.

Why you should hire me (cont'd)!
• I have #adhd, which means … I love deep-diving, particularly on nasty problems involving multiple interacting systems. Fixing bugs and making things faster is literally my favorite part of the job.
• I have #adhd, which means … I care deeply about the people I work with and not letting them down.

I’m located in Austin, TX and need a remote role or something relatively close to ATX. I’m not currently open to relocating, for reasons.
I only speak English fluently, although … realmente me gustaría ser fluido en español.
I have a LinkedIn[1] profile and I have a Github[2] account. My resume is available on request, as are references.
