Framework :fedora: :ubuntu:

Cramming 96GB into my laptop just to feel something.

Framework-branded DDR5-5600 48GB modules are now available in the Marketplace and as a configuration option on all of our DDR5-based systems.

frame.work/products/ddr5-5600?

@Sekerias @frameworkcomputer

Ayy Minecraft is a chonky boi (and sometimes a lil leaky too).

@Sekerias @noctilua @frameworkcomputer "It won't be enough for Minecraft"
Play 300+ 1.16.5 Minecraft Mods need 64GB RAM?
I know 300+ 1.12.2 Minecraft Mods only need 32G RAM.

@missvlc
Just enough, 2 mods.
( 3, with optifine )

In video 1 m, but we can get more.
48 billions chunks, maybe too much, but for crush test ...

@frameworkcomputer The Suspend-To-Disk image consumes a tenth of the onboard NVMe.

@frameworkcomputer good thing I wasn't able to succeed with a laptop order this week, now I can get moar RAM

@frameworkcomputer it bothers me a bit that the description doesn’t have any technical details. Feels like buying on Temu when the product name has 3 different sets of numbers and units and you have no idea what you’re getting 😂

@frameworkcomputer I hate to say it, but you can get 2x48 GB 5600 SoDimms in Germany for 225 EUR instead of the 540 EUR you charge. I understand some markup is needed for good customer support, branding,... but +115% is just too much and I have doubts that you are going to find customers willing to pay that.

@TheMinefighter @frameworkcomputer I think you're already aware, though you can always purchase the RAM on your own. It's one way to save money if you buy the DIY version.

@frameworkcomputer hey framework social media people,,,, are you okay?

@frameworkcomputer that's more RAM then all devices in our household use together. Crazy.

I thought there was a max of 64GB? Or maybe that was just 12th gen Intel restriction.
