@fosstodon in Chrome, shift-ctrl-R to force a full page reload is sufficient to get the images to appear.
@VanessaE @fosstodon same for firefox, just ctrl-shift-R a few times (I think it has to be on the home page?) and it's fine
@fosstodon I have an add-on on Firefox called 'Empty cache button'. I clicked on that, refreshed the Mastodon page, then the photos appeared as normal.

@fosstodon, it's probably worth noting explicitly that you need to clear *cookies* because dinosaurs like me don't expect sites to keep a 15M image cache in cookies…
