Dear fediverse , what kind of a connector is this?

40 pin, 0.5mm pitch, motherboard side, going to an eDP display panel.

I'd like to buy the socket, but nothing I've seen quite matches the shape.

A 40-pin socket and a matching cable floating next to it. The socket has feathered pins, the cable has exposed pins wrapping around the corner of a plastic piece.

Are there any identifying marks on either of the mating pairs?
