I'm suspect of the reliability of this seemingly apocryphal image. It resonates with my experience, but can anyone point to more authoritative studies on the generational change in children's recreational mobility? #sociology --- RT @email@example.com Golly. The decline of children’s play range across generations in one family: from 6 miles to 60 yards. Is this traffic, other dangers or our fears ? @tim_bowden I don't know about accuracy, but it meshes with what I have heard from within my own family. Currently working to encourage my own kids to venture out more. Nice thing is that work is only a little more than a mile from home ... so it gives them some space to roam.
