AzuraCast
AzuraCast is a free and open-source, self-hosted "web radio station in a box".

We bundle everything you need to run a web radio station (nginx, Liquidsoap as an AutoDJ and Icecast for broadcasting) along with a powerful web interface to manage it all. No fussing around with config files or scripting; we handle all of that for you.

Learn more at https://azuracast.com/ and install today on your own server or use one of our easy one-click installer hosting partners.

AzuraCast
We've released AzuraCast 0.20.4 to the Stable release channel. Since launching 0.20.3, we received a number of reports of issues with our updated AutoDJ scheduler. We've reverted the changes and restored the previous functionality. Other bug fixes and improvements from 0.20.3 are still in place.

AzuraCast
AzuraCast 0.20.3 is now on the Stable release channel. This version includes improvements to the AutoDJ scheduler, playlist priorities, the ability for system admins to set maximum bitrates for stations, and many bug fixes and tweaks.

This is the last stable release that will be on Liquidsoap 2.2.x. Now that this release is out, our Rolling Release will be a test platform for 2.3.x, which has reached a stable Release Candidate stage. Help us test this new version if you can!

AzuraCast
We apologize for the inconvenience, but the AzuraCast demo instance is currently offline.

Our hosting provider for the demo instance, Vultr, informed us they are no longer sponsoring open-source projects like ours (despite using our project in their one-click app marketplace); unfortunately, they only informed us of this *after* we were hit with a sizable bill.

We are looking for alternate hosting solutions. Other services, such as our homepage, docs and update checks, are unaffected.

AzuraCast
We're saddened to hear that RadioFreeFedi (RFF), a cornerstone of the independent music community on the Fediverse and an outstanding way to discover new artists, is planning on shutting down in just a few months.

Folks might not know this, but RFF's broadcasts have been powered in part by AzuraCast for many years now. As a part of the Fediverse ourselves and supporters of the free and open ecosystem, we have been honored to have this distinction.

We wish the RFF team the best going forward.

AzuraCast
One of our community members, contributors and friends, Matthias "Moonbase59" Hormann, is going through some significant challenges in his personal life right now, and could use our support. Matthias has helped greatly in AzuraCast's development, contributing especially to Liquidsoap and the new AutoCue features. We wish him the best in these trying times.

You can read the full details here: https://github.com/Moonbase59/autocue/blob/master/IMPORTANT.md

You can donate to support him directly here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=PBPR63362LDEU

AzuraCast
As free and open-source software, anyone in the world can use AzuraCast, and we have no intention of changing that.

We do, however, exercise broad discretion in who we provide support to and who we welcome in our official communities. We have a strong Code of Conduct emphasizing a culture of inclusion and respect, and we do not tolerate hate in the spaces we control.

You do not need to agree with us politically to be a part of our software. We insist, however, upon respect and decency.

AzuraCast
In light of the reactionary backlash against Godot, I want to make it clear that AzuraCast is built almost entirely by members of the LGBTQ+ community, a community we strongly support.

When large parts of your existence have been deemed "political", it is impossible to separate politics from software development without putting queer people in a position where they aren't able to tell their story through their work. We build software for humans, and in the process must care for those humans.

AzuraCast
AzuraCast 0.20.2 is now available on the stable release branch. Changes include:
- Paginated and bulk-deletion of streamer broadcasts
- Optimizations to AutoCue (both avoiding writing backup playlists to Liquidsoap, and caching AutoCue values to improve performance)
- A new Prometheus API endpoint (`/api/prometheus`)
- A brand new startup process that should greatly cut down on HTTP 502 errors and log messages

...along with lots of other minor tweaks and fixes.

AzuraCast
For existing users on the Rolling Release and Stable channels, we intend to publish a new stable release version with the existing Liquidsoap 2.2.x version in the near future, so that we have plenty of time to test the 2.3.x version in our Rolling Release channels before shipping it as stable.

We will announce when our stable branch switches to the new version here so you can be aware of it and update any custom code accordingly.

AzuraCast
Our friends at Liquidsoap are working on a brand new version 2.3.0 with many improvements underway.

In order to help make testing it easier, we're shipping a special version of our Rolling Release Docker image with the new version preconfigured and ready to go. You can help make sure the new version runs great and that any custom code works by testing it out.

See our instructions on switching to the new version here: https://github.com/AzuraCast/AzuraCast/discussions/7354#discussioncomment-10204865

AzuraCast
AzuraCast
AzuraCast 0.20.1 is out on the Stable channel.

If you're running a medium to large installation (i.e. 15 or more stations in one installation), this should *significantly* improve performance and reliability due to some bug fixes.

We're also introducing our built-in support for AutoCue. We're still testing it out, but many stations have reported great results with it out of the box, so try it out and see if you like it!

AzuraCast
The latest version of our Rolling Release adds first-class in-app support for "AutoCue", an exciting tool that analyzes your media and automatically calculates cue, fade, and volume values to produce a consistent, ideal sound for your radio. While the defaults out of the box sound great, power users can always tweak settings to get the perfect sound for your station. Join us in testing out this tool!

AzuraCast
AzuraCast 0.20.0 is now available in our Stable release channel. We've done a deep dive into the code and worked to resolve several reported bugs, along with adding new functionality like batch editing for podcast episodes. Updating is recommended!

AzuraCast
Users of our stable branch are recommended to update to AzuraCast version 0.19.7. It includes some new features (especially for podcast users!) but largely centers around fixes for Passkeys, WebDJ, LetsEncrypt, special characters in station names, and other bugs. If you're on version 0.19.5 and running into any of these issues, you should update first to see if it resolves your issue.

AzuraCast
Our project depends on donations for our lead developer to pay basic living expenses and survive. Despite the increasing popularity of AzuraCast as a mainstream option for web radio stations and tens of thousands of active stations using it today, our donation numbers have remained very low.

We hate to bother you so much about this, but if you can, *please* consider donating to support the project. It would mean the world to us. https://donate.azuracast.com/

AzuraCast
We've been informed that our previous security reporting mechanism was recently acquired by an AI company and will now only support AI/ML-related projects.

As such, we're moving our security vulnerability reporting over to use GitHub's internal system for this.

If you identify a security flaw in AzuraCast, please let us know using this form: https://github.com/AzuraCast/AzuraCast/security/advisories/new

AzuraCast
Happy New Year! AzuraCast 0.19.4 is out today with some big performance tweaks under the hood; almost every installation should run faster and with fewer resources. We've also updated to include a bug fix for a Liquidsoap bug with live recordings experienced in 0.19.3, so if you were running into that issue, updating is recommended.
