@dfs @hellomiakoda @gangrif @furilabs It's probably a good idea to focus on one concept and try to do that one thing well. That's hard enough as it is, most of the time
@mekuso @dfs @hellomiakoda @furilabs I assume nothing like android auto support either? Thats one thing I depend on a ton.
@gangrif @mekuso @dfs @hellomiakoda @furilabs I just talked with Furilabs ceo and head dev and he did say that android auto is definately doable. He does not have anything to test it but if you look how much "impossible" stuff they have made reality I believe it will work if someone just can give helping hand for the developement (= user with access to FLX1 and car with android auto support - it is car thing right?).
For example they did build USA VoLTE & mms support "which was not possible"
@alaraajavamma @mekuso @dfs @hellomiakoda @furilabs yes. android auto is like apple car play. it sort of extends the apps on your phone to your car stereos display. not like an extended desktop more like an interface.
anyway. it does a few important things. hands free interface to things like calls and sms. integration with your phones gps and maps. and of course playing media like music, podcasts, or audiobooks.
both of our daily cars have it. and it's basically a requirement for any car and any phone for me now.
@alaraajavamma @gangrif @mekuso @dfs @furilabs I'd offer, but an '05 does not have Android auto.
Half the time, I rely on “Here, hold this. ....oh quit whining. I'm giving you a ride, you can hold the phone.”.
