Just discovered the "Group by sort" feature in .

Guys, this is an / email game-changer.

Now your inbox is clustered in groups:
* Today
* Yesterday
* Last 7 Days
* Last 14 Days
* Older

This lets you focus on a small group of emails at a time and whittle your way towards

FANTASTIC.

@thunderbird

@RL_Dane @thunderbird I always have Inbox zero (I hate knowing there are unread messages somewhere) and I start to get the feeling that this makes me some kind of outsider.

@thedoctor @thunderbird

Inbox zero is my goal! Ok, maybe inbox ten at the most ;)

@RL_Dane ......can we steal this for a future productivity post? Because you're right - that IS a game changer!

@RL_Dane @thunderbird
Inbox zero + ADHD = when you reach 250 unread emails -> select all -> mark as read.

Ouch too bad for the 40 emails you read and marked as unread in order to remember to reply later.

@RL_Dane @thunderbird

Great idea, although I laugh at the concept of "inbox zero". I'm currently at "Inbox 12,657" and that's with around 40 filters which autodelete most stuff after 1 week-6 months.

@thunderbird @RL_Dane I use outlook’s category to tag mails as “to do”, “done”, “track” etc. Not every mail is tagged. And for especially important things I also use the flag thing. Works surprisingly good since ages.

@RL_Dane @thunderbird Great PSA! Turning this on is kind of revelatory, but also oddly unsettling. I'm used to threading email in most of my mailboxes, and would like some way to merge the utility of both "date clusters" and threads. Even a visual indication that a message is part of a thread would be helpful. Is it worth submitting a feature request to that effect?

(On any message header, I can right-click and choose Open->Open Message in Conversation. Awkward, but it does have the benefit of including messages from different folders.)

@RL_Dane @thunderbird I'm using that since years. One thing is annoying: if you click on the "date" header by accident it will resort the default way and you need to go back into the menu to re-apply the grouping.
