@LinuxJedi Why a PicassoII graphic card? I do have one or two of them myself, but when I would buy a graphic card today, I would either go with a PicassoIV or CyberVision 64 for old cards or with ZZ9000 by @mntmn for a brand new card.
Was the PicassoII the best option in regards of price and availability or was there another reason?
@ij @mntmn money and availability. Of all the ones you listed I could only get hold of CyberVision 64, and there was a lot of risk in buying that due to the seller.
Picasso II+ is all I could get hold of (note that the II+ is much better than the original II).
I also didn't fancy building the SD64 clone.
@LinuxJedi @mntmn Speaking of... I think I still have a PicassoII in repair at the guy that releases Picasso96 (a friend back then when I had many contacts at VillageTronic and he and Klaus came for some BBQs over). For years now! ;)
Anyway, I do have enough replacement cards that are faster, though... :)
@ij @LinuxJedi hmm, we do ship microbatches of ZZ9000 around every three months at the moment...
@LinuxJedi @ij in any case enjoy your upgraded amiga!
@LinuxJedi @mntmn Well, I plan to buy at least one ZZ9000 for some time now. I really, really need to get my back up to finally order it.
But my A4000T will still be run with the PicassoIV.
Reason for that is: it's from the inheritance of my friend Klaus Burkert.
My A3000s are fine to run with a ZZ9000 though, but I start with one...
