In keeping with the ongoing rainy weather, here are a couple more rainy cherry blossoms from my area in Itabashi, Tokyo.
A tree close to the main hall of Myōren-ji unseasonably began blooming on the 13th day of the 10th month, the anniversary of Nichiren's (日蓮 1222-82) death.
Because of this it became known as 'Oeshiki-zakura' (御会式桜 'Memorial to Nichiren Sakura').
Avec toutes ces belles images de Sakura au Japon, je voulais partager quelques photos de mon voyage en 2024. Ce pays me manque énormément.
A little late for peak cherry blossom season this year, but I rather like this shot I managed to get because it visually highlights in one frame the ephemeral and temporary nature of the cherry blossom.

Not sure if this is a bee, hornet, bumble bee, or paper wasp, but several them were being happy, busy bees around the blossoms.

Nao-san (and a number of cats) enjoyed an outdoor tea ceremony beside the blossom-festooned Philosopher's Path (哲学の道).
