面白いだけど、「朝比奈さんと秘密の相棒」っていう本の最終の章でよくある「錦鯉」の「錦」だよね!覚えないにはいけないけど、本のお陰で覚えにくくなくなるかも…

I just came across "ロサンゼルス" for the first time in my reading and boy that took me a second. Apparently the #Japanese construct "Los Angeles" as something more like "Lo Sangeles."

You know, it doesn't match the way it's written but it actually fits with the way most Americans pronounce the city's name pretty well

Alguien quiere explicarme por qué hay un pobre perrito en el kanji de "quemar", 「燃える」 ??

Qué hizo ese pobre lomito. Es inocente. Déjenlo en paz.

Contexto: el kanji de "perro" es 犬, se ve arriba a la derecha en el kanji anterior.

Level 53 of #wanikani ! 7 more levels and counting!

Useful words: 我慢、特殊、恒例、蘇生。

This is also the level where I finally studied 鰐蟹 as a word! 😅

Burn rate: 8.85 items per day. Catching up will be needed! Funny realization: I have less and less radicals to review because most of them were on earlier levels.

N2 remains finished, but I didn't start on N1 yet. My ghost count was pretty high for a week and now finally settled below 10. Might start N1 in earnest in 2 weeks!

Don’t get me wrong, though. I’m still far from my personal goal (being conversational in Japanese), and honestly suck a lot at speaking which can be and sometimes is frustrating.

I just appreciate my teacher quite a lot 😊
