"Sapopema" é o nome dado às raízes grossas das grandes árvores da Amazônia, como a Samaumeira ou Samaúma. Se você estiver perdido na mata e precisar informar a sua localização a alguém próximo, é só bater na raiz com algo resistente.. como um galho grosso! O som emitido pela raiz, além de bem alto, pode ser escutado a uma grande distância.

* "Sapopema" is the name given to the thick roots of the large Amazon trees, such as "Samaumeira" or "Samaúma". If you are lost in the woods and need to inform your location to someone close, just hit the root with something resistant.. like a thick branch! The sound emitted by the root, in addition to being very loud, can be heard at a great distance.

🌳 A #tree I planted about five years ago in Chapecó, #SantaCatarina #Brazil. It took a while for the roots to overcome the very compacted soil and construction debris, but since then it is growing beautifully 🆙🌎

😍 #Árvore (canelinha) que eu plantei há cerca de cinco anos em #Chapecó, #OesteCatarinense. Demorou até as raízes vencerem o solo bastante compactado e com resíduos de construção civil, mas desde então felizmente tem crescido com sucesso 🙏🌎
