Die US-amerikanische Library of Congress hat den Windows-95-Startsound in ihr National Recording Registry (NRR) aufgenommen. Damit ist der Sound nun Teil einer Liste von Aufnahmen, die „kulturell, historisch oder ästhetisch bedeutsam“ sind. Auch „Volume Alpha“ von Minecraft wurde in das NRR aufgenommen.

Creating a fax coversheet in Word 95

Can’t get Windows 95 to run in #QEMU 9.2.3 on #macOS. It worked fine when I last tried it in 2023 or 2024, though.

I’m getting a “Windows protection error” on first boot during the installation. Even my existing image that used to work now fails with the same error.

I was reading a story today about #theoldnet and how if you leave an “&” symbol at the end of an #email , it means you want the recipient to reply back.
