Dans le premier volet de cette série en pas moins de six parties, nous allons tenter de définir ce qu’est la méditation et dresser un panorama des différentes techniques qui se sont développées à travers l’Histoire et les cultures. Une odyssée qui débute il y a 4000 ans.

Buddhistdoor Quote for Today: Joseph Goldstein
When we see deeply that all that is subject to arising is also subject to cessation, that whatever arises will also pass away, the mind becomes disenchanted. Becoming disenchanted, one becomes dispassionate. And through dispassion, the mind is liberated. — Joseph Goldstein

"After winter comes spring” – this comforting fortune stick saying resonates deeply as I reflect on my journey this Lunar New Year.
"The text accompanying our fortune stick resonated with a saying: “After winter comes spring”, which I find comforting, and hopefully it applies to everyone here."
Finding equanimity has been a key lesson in navigating career changes:
"Equanimity is a principle where we should learn to be content, and all outcomes — favourable or unfavourable, with equal composure. Ultimately, events arise and eventually pass."
Hoping for brighter days and new beginnings for all.

#AskFedi (boosts appreciated! )
How do y’all stay on track with healthy life habits?
I’ve got the #ADHD and I’ve heard (and agree) that it’s often not an issue of _knowing_ what I need to do, but more an issue of _doing_ tasks / habits that aren’t necessarily intrinsically motivating.
The habit in question for me, at the moment, is #meditation . I know that it really helps me with impulse control and emotional regulation. I’ve done 10-day silent #vipassana courses.
I’ve tried habit tracker apps, and they kinda work . . . for a while, and then get abandoned.
Thanks for your boosts and/or thoughts!
