What impact would this have on Canada?
Are films filmed in #Toronto and #Vancouver are "produced" in the US but filmed in Canada?
Either way, this will just lower the quality and quantity of media the US produces.

#cities at the forefront of reducing #emissions including #vancouver despite our current Mayor!

"I have a passion for landscape, and I have never seen one improved by a billboard. Where every prospect pleases, man is at his vilest when he erects a billboard." David Ogilvy (1911-1999)
If we can geofence scooters, we should geofence cars.
That SUV should've never made it past the barricades.
This is horrible. Someone drove into a crowd of people at a street festival for Lapu Lapu day. 7 dead many injured.
"The budget projection includes $5 million in overtime costs related to ongoing work for Task Force Barrage. Those funds are to be received from the city before the end of the year, the report says."
Love to see cops blow through their budget to try and fail getting ABC two more city councillors in a pointless by-election stunt

And in Vancouver by-elections this month, despite rising advance poll usage over time, the city "decided" to reduce such polls by 50%, creating hours-long lineups, and textbook voter suppression.
Is the mayor and his party fascist?
It's an open question.
The question is how open is the question, wafer thing mint open, or gaping maw open.
@rhymerepartee @nigelsezyarr Totally agree that #proportionalRepresentation is better. #AviLewis agrees, said he. But also, the Cons have not won #VancouverCentre since the Cold War. #NDP consistently comes in 2nd here. So, this is not a riding which demands Strategic Voting. #CdnPoli #vanpoli #elxn45
Christopher Varga, People's Party: He seems like a reasonable person who lives in a different world than I do. It's also kind of funny that he's the son of Hungarian immigrants to Canada, who then moved to the States for a decade, and now he's supporting an anti-immigration party.
Drew William McPherson, Independent: No. My life is slightly worse for trying to find out more about this guy online.
Scott MacDonald, Green: I'm pretty sure he exists. Pretty sure ...

Avi Lewis, NDP: I knew almost nothing about this guy going in, and ... wow. He was on Much and Al Jazeera. He seems to care and have an actual vision on how we can make this a better world. I need to look closer, but wow.
Hedy Fry, Liberals: Yo, there's a reason she keeps winning. I went in "meh", and ended up mentally high five-ing her for her tweets.
To summarize for social media:
Elaine Allan, Conservative: Potentially OK? Seems like a reasonable person.

I spent the last few hours digging into the Vancouver Centre candidates. Thoughts: https://www.forgreatjustice.ca/2025/04/vancouver-centre-candidates/
Sean Orr, a political freshman who campaigned successfully on a promise to “grill Ken Sim,” had not even been sworn in before he was publicly smeared by the mayor.

How about using #congestion pricing to raise some money instead of raising fares?

Vancouver had a vote-for-two council by-election. Orr and Maloney, in the bottom rows, won, standing for separate parties (COPE and OneCity). Crossover was almost as strong between them as for the two parties that each ran two candidates (Stein/Kaisers and Hardwick/Abbott). Greens ~neutral. #vanpoli
