Spending habits

I've written before about money. Money struggles. Buying things to feel better. Making ends meet. How I always took it for granted when I was in a relationship and we had more money to spend. How hard it is coming form that privilege to being on my own, especially with an aging dog. A while ago, Kevin Davy shared this Toot on Mastodon, which got me to thinking about it some more. I've read some of the replies, which often seemed very logical to me. Some just made sense and got me to go "yeah, totally!", just while reading them. So with this post, I want to try to go a bit deeper into this... If I can? 🤔 […]

#Guix survey found that 70% of users deploy it as a graphical #desktop #linux

Be interesting to consider packaging and testing priorities at #guixdays given this figure

About a third are #server deployments, on hardware, but also #vm #kvm - interesting!

The ability to use #guix for #docker or #singularity deployments and #CI were all mentioned. Maybe potential for further development?

#Using #guix in #cloud or #containers with #orchestration (e.g. #k8s ) doesn't seem widespread yet.

And now, when my #master went to bed it's time to move my "next #yaml" parser (I call it #amw) to revised #uw.

That's funny. #uw was a part of it initially and quickly because a separate project, a foundation for everything that makes life in #C joyful, without #masochism. However, it's getting bigger and bigger and this growth should be trimmed. My parser needs neither interfaces, nor inheritance, nor cyclic reference handling. All this comes to the scene when I start #using it.
