Today my Tuesday morning walking group discussed whether if king Charles ordered a coffee in their imaginary cafe, would they expect him to pay for his coffee? Four said no and only one said yes (me).
One person then relayed a story that on a recent trip to Melbourne, she stopped at Brunetti in Carlton for coffee and was asked by a homeless woman if she would buy her a coffee, which the homeless person then upsized to a double shot mochaccino with a dollop of cream. She said she felt duped and most of our group agreed until I pointed out that four out of five of us would rather give free coffee to a billionaire instead of a homeless person.
