If you're trying to hide an element with uBlock Origin based on the text on an element contained inside it, I found these two answers helpful:

and

@SomeAnoTooter @eff Yes, use Brave or LibreWolf + uBlock
Update #1: A user tracked this to having #PrivacyBadger or #uBlockOrigin or #Ghostery extensions installed.
Testing with disabled #uBO made Fennec load pages instantly, but let's be honest, we can't use the Internet without uBlock...
uBlock issue tracked in: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/3770
Dernier article : un petit setup amélioré pour retrouver une navigation plus tranquille sur le net avec uBlockOrigin.

@fixatedpersonsunit Even better: Move to @torproject / #TorBrowser because it comes with #uBlockOrigin built-in!
Did you know uBlock Origin can not only block unwanted ads and trackers, it can also modify websites you visit to your liking to some extend.
For example, recently the German site "golem.de" changed their design and now use a font I don't like for reading text.
With the following custom filter I can change the font on the site to one I like more:
golem.de##body:style(font-family: "DejaVu Sans", sans-serif !important;)
A bit of CSS and you can change colors, fonts, hide elements and many more.
More information can be found on https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Dashboard:-My-filters.
P.S.: if you are using Chromium/Chrome, Google intentionally broke the uBlock Origin extension by removing the relevant APIs from their browser.
As you might know, some streamers prefer to hide their viewer numbers when streaming, so it can be frustrating when they have to see this number when they end up raiding out.
I created a custom #uBlockOrigin filter that should hopefully hide the viewer number in #Twitch chat raid notifications.
# Hide number of raiders in Twitch chat raid notifications.
twitch.tv##.user-notice-line.gwXBBm strong:nth-of-type(2)
If you are a streamer yourself, also consider removing the raid number from your overlay, as I've done, so fellow streamers don't have to see it embedded in your stream if they don't want to, since they don't have control over that.
Ces gentilles pétitions ....

Can you imagine:
An Internet without Adblockers?
TIL: you can add custom rules to #uBlockOrigin on #firefox which lets the #youtube shorts disappear: https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/wiki/solutions/youtube/#wiki_shorts
Still not gone from the mobile app, but already sooo much better!
#Vivaldi for desktop is great IF I ignore the built-in adblocker, email and RSS client, and add #uBlock Lite and #PrivacyBadger.
On #Android, however, Vivaldi struggles some wih blocking ads and some page reliability.
As much as I dislike the direction #Mozilla is taking #AI in #Firefox, it's hard to beat with #uBlockOrigin and Privacy Badger.
I just need to decide if I hate AI more than I like #OpenSource software and competing against #Chromium dominance and if I'm willing to have different browsers for mobile and desktop browsing.
#askfedi is there any way to block everything from Google with ublock origin? I know about no Google blocklist that only work with tools like pinhole.
#degoogle #ublockorigin #firefox #privacy
uBlock users --- I have something for you:
1) AdGuard's Tracking Protection Filter
Adding an extra 114,000 trackers to your block list
https://filters.adtidy.org/extension/ublock/filters/3.txt
2) Pi-holes ad blocking list, for those of you who cannot configure pi-pole
Adding a little over 1/2 million new goodies to block.
https://hole.cert.pl/domains/v2/domains_adblock.txt
3) OISD blocklist
Another 200,000 more goodies to block

Einstellungen? Egal. Erst ohne Werbeblocker wird’s „servicefreundlich“.

Although I avoid adding personal filters to uBlock Origin (1.65.0), this info from Reddit seems to work.
