So Uber is working on a simpler interface for seniors to book trips. It'll include larger text... and I'm just wondering when they will address the current large text and low vision issues on the regular app. So much text is cut off or truncated, especially within the Uber Eats section...

Uber, Lyft, and Airbnb are suing San Francisco, asking for more than $320 million in tax refunds, while SF is demanding austerity from its employees to pay for it. This while the city deals with an $800 million deficit over the next 2 years.

Keep in mind, those same companies already demanded, and won, huge tax breaks by getting the city to rewrite its tax law, transferring more of the tax burden onto smaller companies.

Keep in mind, these 3 SF companies wouldn't even be rich and successful if SF hadn't allowed them to break the law their first couple of years in existence, allowing huge profits, by allowing them to skip out of the medallion fees that cab companies had to pay, and skirting the law that prohibited short term rentals without paying hotel tax. This, thanks to former mayor Ed Lee.

And their defense?

"We aren't companies. We're apps. We don't have to pay minimum wages, taxes, benefits"

I wonder what happened to in . It was way more reliable than other ride-hailing apps, but the last few experiences have been very bad. Unavailability of cabs, repeated cancellations, prompting for a “tip” to “increase” the chances of a ride getting accepted, unrealistic prices. Surprisingly, has been more reliable in this time and that says a lot.

Well, today before my doctor's appointment, I booked an #Uber, When I was ready to meet the driver, I left in a bit of a hurry. Unfortunately, I stupidly left my phone on the counter at home. I didn't put my phone in my purse, so I could book another Uber! I thought my phone had fallen out in the car, but it didn't, it was safe at home all along!!
