Alejandro Baez<p>The <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/turso" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>turso</span></a> implementation of <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/sqlite" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sqlite</span></a> keeps getting better. Redowan Delowar<p>So far, tinkering with <a href="https://bsky.brid.gy/hashtag/turso" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#turso</a> has been okay. I'm sold on the idea of embracing edge SQLite as the main DB for my side quests. But a few points: - Python tooling could be better. JS tooling is fine. - I'd like to use existing SQLite drivers &amp; local DBs that Turso can replicate (including writes).</p>
Danabnormal<p>URSO DB <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/turso" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>turso</span></a> <br>Very nice, although I haven't used a SQLite implementation before so nothing to compare to. Interface is nice and clean, CLI works great and pricing levels make sense with a generous free tier (once you discover virtual tables...). 4/7</p>

Alejandro Baez<p>And now I found out about <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/turso" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>turso</span></a>, an <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/sqlite" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sqlite</span></a> service provider. 😅 They&#39;re using <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/libsql" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>libsql</span></a> fork to make this doable.</p><p>The premise on the service is simple. They build a distributed sqlite set up. You as a user can then use that.</p><p>Knowing full well how to make a distributed sqlite and with backup control, this can take a lot of time. I can see value in that. 😅 </p><p>And considering <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/litefs" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>litefs</span></a> cloud is deprecated... It may be a good try. 🫠</p><p><a href="https://turso.tech/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">turso.tech/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
