Executive Producer<p>It’s why I struggle sometimes with my MIL. She’d be genuinely over the moon for me and probably will be when I next speak to her. </p><p>But I instinctively avoid opening up because I just have no experience with a mum like that. </p><p>How daft is that? Executive Producer<p>Had a bit of a cry at my Mum’s reaction to me telling her all my good news today. Or rather, lack of one. <br>I don’t know why I keep expecting anything different. </p><p>She’s ok to join a rant about my disappointments or rejections, though she’d never show any empathy or compassion. </p><p>But she’s incapable of being proud of me. Celebrating me. Being happy for me. It’s just not in her repertoire. </p><p>I know this.
