When I wrote my Mars novel I decided to use a single universal time for the entire planet. People can't live on the surface and most development is underground for radiation reasons. No windows. Some population is on spaceships or a station. One zone gives the same diurnal schedule to everyone everywhere. Aptivi<p><strong>Timezone definition update for smartwatches rolls out</strong></p><p>Recently, the timezone definition for smartwatches running Wear OS based on Android has been updated to support the latest changes made to some of the timezones. According to the <a href="https://data.iana.org/time-zones/tz-link.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">IANA timezone database</a> that Android uses, your smartwatch gets the latest timezone information from such database that uses the official timezone definitions according to your country’s government.</p><p>Some countries have ceased using summer time, and some others still use the summer time. The database reflects all the changes to the timezones according to each city in each country.</p><p>Now, people have started getting the timezone definition update through a small notification saying that their watch has been updated to use the latest timezone definitions and to reboot it to finalize the update. This was the notification:</p><p>In order to update the timezone definitions, restart your watch using the <code>Restart now</code> button found in the notification. If you have dismissed the notification, the next time you restart your watch, the timezone definition update will be installed.
