Not caught up with the final episode yet but An t-Eilean (The Island) on BBC iPlayer is just great.

Can't wait until tonight to find out what happens!

It's worth watching for the views across Harris and Lewis alone! 💙

Hoping BBC Alba does another series; Sorcha Groundsell plays her part marvelously (as does the rest of the cast).

The original Island story establishes immediately (I think) and then almost never refers back to it that the male MC is following in his fathers footsteps. Allegedly the older man came to the island and the younger man is trying to find him.
So, I guess, the answer is daddy issues?
I have no idea why the female MC is the way she is. One of the few characters I have where there's just a void where her self should be. Considering the context of The Island, this will be made into a plot point at some stage. I just got to figure it out ...
