Reminder for USians: Social Security, Medicare, unemployment, etc., are only "entitlements" in the sense that yes, *you ARE entitled to them*! Because you paid for them.

Every W-2 form you've ever gotten has had fields for Social Security tax, Medicare tax, and state income tax. Those are what pay those things.

If you're unemployed, sick, retired, or whatever, *get what you've already paid for!* You deserve it!
