Nice day out at the Rosslyn Chapel. Thoroughly impressed with the preservation, and the tech used to make the 3d scan and animation of the chapel for the visitors to interact with. I will replicate the efforts for a couple of such historical temples in India someday. What a beautiful amalgamation of tech, history and society.

I can't believe that I made it all the way through #GraphicDesign school without anyone ever teaching us that the ampersand is meant to be a stylized version of the Latin word "et", which literally means "and".

Is it just me who finds the #OrdnanceSurvey #map #symbols for #SolarFarms dissatisfactory? Not only are they too literal and insufficiently simplified (note #church symbols)—I’d suggest a stylised #sun alone would suffice—but what really gets my goat is the symbols’ orientation, which implies that the sun shines from the north-west quarter of the #sky (which in the #Northern #Hemisphere it NEVER DOES!). #Saturday #morning #rant over! #BadDesign #Cartography #Maps #Symbology

Anyone know whether my depiction of the squatter symbol is mucking up some of the #symbology?
All I know is that it depicts the flow of "You enter, you have ups and downs, and at some point you're evicted" and I'm not exactly finding a good explanation of the semantics behind this symbol. :P
