Ryan ChartierI've been messing around with Jekyll hosting this past month and I finally have something to show for it. Essentially, I wanted a way to host Jekyll (and hopefully other static web frameworks) on something other than the Microsoft owned GitHub. It turns out that by linking together some open source software it's relatively easy to put together something workable. Also, HTML has come a long way since I started doing this. IMHO ist das die Folge all des <a href="https://social.merk.ac/tags/qatarischen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#qatarischen</a> Geldes mit welchem seit Jahrzehnten in <a href="https://social.merk.ac/tags/Europa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Europa</a> <a href="https://social.merk.ac/tags/Subversion" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Subversion</a> betrieben wird…. und zu wenig Aufklärung seitens der europäischen Regierungen gegen all diesen <a href="https://social.merk.ac/tags/Antisemitismus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Antisemitismus</a>

Kevin Karhan :verified:<a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/@nafmo" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@nafmo</a> yeah, I had that discussion several years ago, cuz an employer had to nudge senior devs to move from <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/Subversion" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Subversion</a> to <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/git" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#git</a> simply because noone who joined in new wanted to deal with <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/svn" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#svn</a> and it seems obvious the company ain't gonna find someone willing to not charge an exorbitant premium for dealing with it.<ul><li>Plus <code>git</code> just handles branching, merges and multiple contributors way better.</li></ul>That's not to say <code>subversion</code> "can't" do these things, it's just that it's way more painful from the little experience I had with it.
