I did it! I finally beat Mr. X and with it #StreetsOfRage 2, which for all I know is also the very first beat 'em up that I've ever finished. 😁
And it was very tight. I was down to a third of my health on my very last life. I'm still shaking. 😬
With this I'm now ready to move on to something else. Most likely not another beat 'em up, but I'm now keeping an open mind for other games in this genre.

Still playing #StreetsOfRage 2. I've now played every character at least once. It's impressive how different they feel, while feeling familiar at the same time, because the control scheme is the same.
I haven't mastered the controls by far, but I've noticed that my actions have become more deliberate. I've even figured out a few tactics for certain enemy types. 😁
I did max out the lives and continues in the options and with that I can get to at least stage 7 consistently. I guess if I'd switch back to easy I'd be able to beat the game now, but I feel comfortable with normal difficulty, so I'll stick with it.

Found some time tonight to do some genuine #retrogaming. Nevermind the question of what the hell a #SEGA Nomad is doing in Australia - awkward brick shape aside, it's one of the best controllers I've ever held in my hands, and decades after mine became obsolete it's still a solid choice for a casual playthrough of the original #StreetsOfRage.

Shout-out here as well to Krikzz, the Ukrainian legend who designed and still sells #Everdrive carts for several old consoles.
