Weiblicher Spatz auf einem Zweig des Pflaumenbaums. Nahaufnahme. Wir sehen den Spatz von der rechten Seite. Es ist 9 Uhr und die Sonne strahlt bereits. Den Schnabel leicht geöffnet, sitzt der Spatz vor blauem Hintergrund. In der rechten unteren Bildhälfte das Grün einer Hecke.

This is a blue jay: a medium sized bird (about the size of a robin) that is blue. Males and females look alike. It's related to crows, but much more colorful, with its blue, black and white feathers. It's also very smart, like other Corvidae. This one is too big to fit on the feeders, so it is perched in the nearby branches, looking for bird food that has fallen to the ground.

This is a female red bellied woodpecker, a medium sized woodpecker. She is showing her belly in this picture, where you can see an ill-defined patch of reddish feathers that are responsible for her name. To me, the females always look like little bald men (the males have reddish feathers over the top of their heads, but the females have white feathers over the top.

This is a small sparrow that I see only rarely on a feeder--most of the time, they feed from the ground. It has a cinnamon cap, black and white on its face, a gray chest and belly and brown and black wings. It's a chipping sparrow.

Takie zdjęcie mi wyszło, że aż zobaczycie je pierwsi przed Flickrem i Vernissage.

Zdjęcie dwóch samic wróbli siedzących na równo przystrzyżonym na wysokość krzaku. Na pierwszym planie siedzi wyraźnie wyostrzona samiczka, patrząca w prawo, siedząca za wystającą cienką gałązką z zielonym liściem, który częściowo zasłania jej skrzydło. W rozmazanym tle siedzi za nią druga samiczka, który z perspektywy wygląda na przekreśloną przez gałązkę, również patrzy w prawą stronę.
