It's awful early for me to post on any social network and I haven't been updating my #Spanner #AmEditing here lately, but I have an update!

I've done the last edits on the first 3/4 of Spanner In The Works and started work on the last climactic stretch of the book. Chapter 42 is final and Chapter 38 is next.

I might actually have my first *complete* draft, 15 years in the making, this month.

#Spanner #AmEditing update: I did most of the work on Chapter 37 yesterday and started the final copyedit, which got interrupted by me, well, falling asleep. I'm finishing it now.

#Spanner #AmEditing update: Chapter 37 is shaping up faster than I thought. Finding and deleting some deadweight helped a lot. Only one section left to whip into shape and it should be done.

I'm getting tired, so I'll take care of it tomorrow.

Okay, after much #AmProcrastinating, it's time to get some #Spanner #AmEditing out of the way. First off, I'll attack the mess that is Chapter 37.

I have a #Spanner #AmEditing update for yesterday. Short version: I finished editing main character Sia's "ordeal" chapter (42) with character development in mind.

Then I got distracted by the tedious work of building up my Bluesky profile. I found a lot of people I followed on the old Twitter and follow here and elsewhere. Such things take a while...

I'm preparing for my full return. Till then I've just planted my flag at Bluesky. Of course @dennis-jernberg@bsky.social doesn't have any followers yet, but meantime I'll be here again.

#Spanner #AmEditing update: I woke up extra early this morning with, you guessed it, story ideas, this time for Spanner In The Works chapter 35, which I thought I'd already finished. The first had perky reporter Amanda's daughter and Sia's stepdaughter Petronella (Pet for short) beg Sia to save Amanda, who right now is a mind slave, in effect giving her *another* mission. Sia promised her she will. Now she has to. (In Chapter 42 she does.)

Okay, @vinylrecords, I'm going to tell you what I did while I did some intensive #AmEditing on my novel #Spanner In The Works. I played all 3 of what I consider the best albums by #Rush back-to-back. First Permanent Waves (which I just got a new copy of at my local Saturday flea market), then Moving Pictures, then Signals, and then Permanent Waves *again*. I shocked myself at how much I *missed* that record.
