Cancelling my Sirius/XM subscription was actually easier this time because they changed it to use an AI bot, which meant I didn't have to wait 10 minutes between each line of interaction with an actual human being juggling 25 cancellations at the same time...

#Layoffs abound in US private #industry and publicly traded companies as #DJT admin hacks through vast swaths of #Federal #employee roster in #DC as well .

None of these financial freakout factors bode well for the near term USA #economy...

Companies that have laid off hundreds, if not thousands, of #employees each since inauguration include #SiriusXM , #IAC , #HewlettPackard, #Boeing, #Wayfair, #Starbucks, #BlackRock , #Meta , #Salesforce, #Stripe and many many more as statistics show #ConsumerConfidence is obviously shaken and industries from #fintech to frozen food, #solar to satellites all taking fiscal hard hits in early #HardWay #NegativeGrowth months of new #GOP administration voter #ConJob ...

Some choice quotes:

For new Jeep owners, every time you come to a stop, be it at a red light or in traffic, your infotainment screen is now being overtaken by a full-screen advertisement.

To return to your navigation or music, you must manually dismiss the ad.

Folks are (rightly) freaking out about it, but Jeep Doesn't Care.

In response to the backlash, Stellantis, through their “JeepCares” representative, acknowledged that these ads are part of a contractual agreement with SiriusXM.

#enshittification marches ever onward...

In my opinion, Canadian content regulations hamper radio stations from playing a larger variety of music than what they could play without them. I know one thing. If #SiriusXm ever cuts off the American feats of their music channels and replaces them with Canadian ones, they will never get another dime of my money. That's because they are the place I go when I'm sick of Adams and Dion and Bublé and once that I won't bother mentioning because people outside Canada have likely never heard of them.
