Trevor
#ScribesAndMakers for September 5: What would be a major accomplishment on your current project if you could complete it this month?

My #TRONtober project is well underway but I'm already feeling the march of time. It's a TRON: Legacy Halloween costume for my 5-year-old. I've got a thing full of EL tape nearby, a roll of EVA foam in the basement, and a prototype child-sized 3D-printed disc on my desk. It's coming together well so far.

By the end of September, I want:
- the disc, including electronics, complete.
- the EVA foam vest patterned, prototyped, cut, assembled, Plasti-Dipped, and backed with fabric for strength.
- Electronics for the vest, including leads for arms and legs, installed and tested.
- Fabric & Plasti-Dip tests done for the leggings and skirt.
- Sew the skirt and install it into the vest.

Basically, I want an assembled MVP of the costume by October 1. I don't want to rush this one.

Then, in October, I can add pieces to the MVP instead of frantically finishing the core pieces. Armour and electronics for the arms and legs. Add a slight blue sheen to the Plasti-Dipped surfaces, not to match the actual costumes but to match how they appear in the movie. The things that will be nice to have, but won't make or break my kiddo's enjoyment of the costume if they don't happen.

If you want to come hang out as I work on it, I'll be streaming some of the work at https://twitch.tv/lovemakeshare.
