Mittlerweile bin ich doch ganz schön im Rückstand geraten, die fünf Regalmeter isländischer Literatur auch wirklich zu lesen.
Hiermit tu ich mich ein bisschen schwer, Mittelalter ist so gar nicht meine Zeit, und das Gemetzel in Island des 13. Jhd. auch nicht mein Thema. Aber was muss das muss.
Long story short: Junger Isländer kehrt aus Norwegen zurück, um den Tod seiner Familie, u.a. den berühmten Snorri, zu rächen.

An interesting story of an interesting investigation. One of my favorite quirks of the #sagas is that it’s easy to read them as ahistorical family folklore, but then on occasion there will be a bit of #archaeology that’s just, well, spot on.
