"Lilac," Kyriak Kostandi, 1902.
Kostandi (1852-1921) was a Ukrainian artist and scholar; he was a member of a group of Realists known as the Itinerants but also experimented with Impressionism, as we see here.
The delicate morning light touches the domes of a Ukrainian village, and outside a wall, by some blooming lilac bushes, a woman sits and weeps. We have no indication what is making her so sad, but it seems appropriate for the current situation in Ukraine. It's a beautiful, yet sad and enigmatic painting.

...I'm a bad friend...
I've struggled with this before. That I felt like I wasn't a good friend. Like I should do better, be kinder, be more attentive, feel less jealousy, be better at remembering important things for them... 
This is not a post where I am hoping to get all the praise and kindness, where people tell me that I am such a good person. Because that would make me feel bad as well. Praise should not be asked (begged?) for... But I just have been feeling like I've been letting people down. And maybe that's why some of my friends feel a little more distant at the moment. But... Maybe it's just me reading the signs wrong! Maybe...

This is more of a #photomanipulation than a #digitalpainting - though there are touch ups. Originally, when I created this, it was meant to represent how I was feeling at the same, particularly during February, one of the most #depressing months. And now I reflect on how much has changed. Though I have experienced #dark days, I have also learned the value and necessity of finding meaning (i.e., finding #alifeworthliving). This can be anything from arts, nature, crafts, activities, hobbies, meditation, relationships and so on. Reflecting back on 2012, I am happy to say that life is much more bright nowadays. However, life would not be so bright without those dark days.

Apparently Facebook doesn't know what to do when you upload a GIF that is not animated -- just a single image.
Animation wasn't even added until GIF89a! The main Discord channel I haunt also disallows GIFs wholesale -- to avoid animated GIFs any *.GIF file is trashed.

A lot of what people are calling #FOMO is actually something else.
